Service Description

What we do: MIHN - Men's Inner Health Network is a safe community that meets weekly on zoom for men to come explore our inner realms. We go over ancient wisdom, mindfulness techniques, breathwork, and other healing/growth modalities to help us thrive and reach our greatest potentials. What are you currently sitting with? Come explore Monday evenings 7-8 pm (koha welcome for your first visit but not necessary) - dm on Facebook or email soulshednz@gmail.com to get the zoom link. Sessions will evolve alongside you as I incorporate feedback topics that I get from the previous session. We may have similar topics for multiple weeks or they may vary drastically as we dig through the layers of our Being. The deeper we go, the more we will find, and the freer we will become. Ngā manaakitanga, Kyle A bit of History: MIHN was born from an idea I, Kyle, had while on the building site, as a carpenter, back in August 2021. I was working with a crew of burnt out lads who were not very in touch with their feelings or needs - and suffering because of it. I found I had a knack for providing a safe space for Men to open up and feel seen and heard - some of them talking about things for the first time in their lives... When we are seen and heard at our cores, this is where the true deep healing occurs. Once we stop repressing our true selves, get in touch with the centre of who we are, and allow that to come forth, we thrive! It requires stripping away the layers of what we've convinced ourselves we 'should' or 'shouldn't' be - stripping away the limitations that prevent us from living our dreams. I felt MIHN was essential because when I looked around for Men's groups and safe places in the Manawatū for Men to open-up and really dig deep, I couldn't find them. I held the first class on Nov 1, 2021 in person at Shed 23 in Palmy and couldn't believe the response. The crew didn't want to leave even though it was past 9 pm on a Monday (Class was run from 7:45-8:45 pm). I could tell that the space was needed, and so, MIHN was born and has slowly evolved ever since. Covid brought up the need for Zoom and with it, a cool way for Men to access MIHN from around NZ and internationally. It's an amazing dynamic because we get Men from all different walks of life (different ages, belief systems, economic backgrounds, etc.) in one place - learning from each other and healing and growing together through sharing our unique life experiences.
